I am desperate
I can barely breathe through my tears
I need Your gentleness
I am so broken
I am so exposed
My heart was never designed for this
My soul cries out for kindness
Mercy for my soul
I can’t see the way forward
I can’t see my way to You
I feel so abandoned
Give me strength
Every day is another bloody fight
Every day the fight for my soul increases
But mostly I just need your kindness
I need You to be gentle with my heart
So that I might fight another day
