You might recognize Chris’s photo from earlier this summer. Chris and his friend Anthony recognized me in Jasper when they notice my latest Strava app update told them I was in Jasper. You can read more about that story HERE. It is one of my favorites. Chris and Anthony where actually on their own bike ride from Calgary to Nanaimo where Chris now lives (originally from Ontario). Anyways Chris extended an invitation for when I arrived on the island.
The invitation was very welcomed as the day I left Vancouver and arrived on the island was a very rainy day and I was soaked upon my arrival at their apartment.
It was actually pretty surreal to be in the living room of someone who recognized me in Jasper a month later.
