Since Tropical Storm Nadine, on October 22nd my yard, the road, and everywhere surrounding my house and jungle have been completely flooded with flood waters higher than I could imagine happening.

Life in the jungle: I post the following in my daily blog, but not as a political post, knowing that very few people read my daily blogs.  And, there are people way more informed who can do a better job than me talking about this stuff.  Ultimately for me to post political content I am either preaching to the choir or you will just hate me.  Which in retrospect is just fine if the truth be told.  It’s amazing how many people think I am liberal.  But if I am not getting paid for people to hate me then why put myself through that grief?

I went to bed after 2 AM.  While I haven’t been closely following the presidential election, I felt compelled to watch, knowing it could shape the future of the world.  Admittedly, I was concerned.  With millions of illegal immigrants intentionally released into the U.S.—all potential future Democrat votes in swing states—the future of free-world democracy is at its most alarming point in history.  Not to mention the ongoing crises in Ukraine, Israel, China, North Korea, and woke nonsense.  The current administration has only worsened these issues on all fronts, affecting the entire world.

I don’t claim to be a Trump fan, but I challenge anyone to have gone through an ounce of the shit the Democrats have put him through and keep standing strong.  You can hate him all you want, but few people in the last 1,000 years have accomplished what he has, and his haters hate him for it.  But given the current world landscape, I doubt many other people have the ability to fix many of the problems we now face because of laziness, and greedy incompetent politicians.  And for all his faults (and crimes), I have yet to actually hear an educated and informed issue that every President before him is not more guilty of.

If you hate Trump, either he is Hitler or World War 3 is about to start.  (Hitler…really?  That is not even an intelligent comparison.)  Other than poor tact, what exactly is Trump guilty of?  What did he do during the first administration that had such a negative effect on the US or the world?  And how many wars did Trump start?  No one can seem to answer even that question.  As far as his charges – you mean the witch hunt?  I barely paid attention to everything he was guilty of, as every billionaire and past President is just as guilty.  But no one bothers pursuing those people.

How about Bush?  Is he still looking for weapons of mass destruction in Iraq?  How about the Clintons and all the sex secrecy and Epstein’s mysterious death?  How about the Bidens?  You could write books about that guy.  Biden was as bad as Trudeau, every time you turned, he was being exposed for something.  He couldn’t even complete a sentence or walk a flight of stairs but he was made the most powerful person in the world!  Biden accomplished what Trudeau has accomplished.  They both ruined the greatest countries on the planet.  And Harris was going to continue the Biden legacy.  Maybe I am a Trump fan after all.

I intentionally watched PBS Live to avoid the biased rhetoric.  Some notes of interest – I couldn’t believe when Harris party headquarters sent everyone home early.  That was a complete “shaking my head” moment if I ever had one.  Admittedly I got nervous when PBS announced that FOX had called Trump the next President, I felt that was way too premature.  I guess FOX and Trump got lucky there.

Admittedly I am unfamiliar with abortion laws in the US (or Canada for that matter).  But from what I could see there was a lot of abortion stuff being talked about (mostly on Harris’s side) and it all turned my stomach.  ALL morals, ethics, societal, legal, and philosophical arguments aside.  A fetus begins to have its own unique DNA at the moment of conception.  Therefore, by a factual, and scientific definition, a fetus is a human being, meaning abortion is murder, END of conversation.  That means according to WHO (World Health Organization) approximately 73 million murders have occurred all in the name of women’s rights!  If we are willing to kill unborn babies, why are we so surprised and shocked at the condition of our current society?

Anyway, this morning was a very unproductive morning. The great news along with the free world being saved, there was no rain today.  The flood waters have dropped to what I would refer to as the usual height of what I used to consider high.  Hopefully, flood levels continue to drop.

For a week, or longer I have noticed duck eggs going missing from the nest boxes.  This morning, I caught Pepper at the chicken coops.  Through the window, I heard her escape through the fence and then heard her splash through the water toward the coops.  I watched her check out the coops and go to the main coop.  I quietly left the house and headed towards the coop so as to sneak up on her.  As I was heading to the coops Saucy warned Pepper of my approach by barking.  I did not catch her red-handed but at the same time, the look on Pepper’s face knew she had been caught red-handed.

Pepper was taught a lesson she will never forget.  But, I couldn’t believe Saucy knew to try to warn her of my approach.

Pepper – such a bad dog, but I am going to keep her

Life in the jungle: The flooding has basically stopped flowing over the yard.  Almost three inches of flooded water has vanished overnight.  The river is still top-galloned (flooding its banks) but is not overflowing as it has been.  On October 22nd the river top-galloned flooding my entire property and the surrounding jungle.  On October 29th when I thought the flood levels couldn’t even reach higher, they raised by another couple of inches.  Yesterday the flood level dropped to what I considered the normal high and now mostly all that is left is rotting algae and mud.  Therefore – 16 days of flooding, nine of which were the highest I have ever experienced here.

Today I wrote Belize blog Parts 138, 139, and 140.

Glossary of Terms
Glossary of words or people that may or may not be part of this blog post.  This glossary will be at the bottom of every blog post for Belize.

Wayne – He is the son of the original owners of the farm (both owners are deceased).  The original farm was two – 30 acre parcels minus two – ¾ acre parcels for my house.  In 2017 Wayne sold me 40 acres of land from the original 60 acres (one 30 acre parcel plus 10 acres from the second parcel).  Wayne lives in his parent’s house and has a few cows on his remaining 18 acres of land.

The ponds – I have two large (300ft long x 50ft wide x 10ft deep) ponds on my 30 acre parcel of land which is basically a jungle.  I have about 60 coconut trees (mostly mature) around the ponds.  In my first two years of living in Belize, I also planted about 250 assort fruit tree seedlings (Lime, jackfruit, custard apple, pomegranate, and avocado).

The coconut field – I have about 400 coconut trees planted (various growth states) on about 3 acres of cleared land of my 10 acre parcel.  I have planted about 350 assorted fruit trees (lemon, starfruit, mango, soursop, cashew, lime, orange) all raised from seed since my arrival in Belize in 2021.

The river lot – my house sits on an ¾ acre lot.  I have a second joining ¾ acre lot that allows me river frontage on the Belize River.  I call that my river lot.

The dry – Belize has two main seasons.  The rainy season and the dry (no rain).  The wet is obviously the rainy season.

Chopping – using my machete to clear brush, vines, weeds, and unwanted trees.  Generally, when I chop I am removing unwanted vegetation around my baby fruit trees.

Andy – A fellow Canadian who rode his dirt bike from Canada to Belize.  When I offered him the use of an apartment that I recently built and the use of my greenhouse Andy decided to stay in Belize permanently and start a hot sauce company here.
