Narrow-bridged Musk Turtle – Claudius angustatus
Locally known as Toe-biter. The smallest musk/mud turtle found in Belize.
To be honest I don’t see these guys often, but I found my first one in years right outside my house. A super aggressive species when picked up, hence their local name – Toe-biter.
