My US route will take me down the west coast through Washington and Oregon and then into Northern California.  I am very much looking forward to California.  At this point my plan is to turn east at San Francisco.  East of San Francisco is Yosemite National Park.  South of Yosemite National Park is Death Valley.  From Death Valley I will ride into Nevada and Las Vegas so I can see the Hoover Dam.  Leaving the Hoover Dam I may make my way  to the Grand Canyon in Arizona.  I have made a second route through much of Utah.  At this moment I am unsure of my plan for Utah.  I am memorized by photos of Utah’s wondrous geological wonders and find it impossible to be so close only to bypass them.  I have a route that includes some of the best geological landscapes Utah has to offer; such as Zion NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Arches NP and Monument Valley.  I will make a decision at the Hoover Dam about Utah; I can only hope the ride has gone smoothly and I have made up enough time to squeeze my Utah route in.  So I will either include much of Utah or bypass it and make my way directly to the Grand Canyon.  But I am pretty sure that I will visit Utah.  Once I complete my swing around the Grand Canyon I will head back into California to Joshua Tree National Park and continue to San Diego.

States visited in the United States are Alaska, Washington, Oregon, California, Nevada, Utah and Arizona.
