El Salvador is the smallest and the most densely populated country in Central America.  El Salvador borders the Pacific Ocean on the west, and the countries of Guatemala to the north and Honduras to the east.   As of 2009, El Salvador had a population of approximately 5,744,100 people, composed predominantly of Mestizos people.

The plan for El Salvador is to enter the country close to the Pacific Ocean and to simply follow the Pacific coast directly to Honduras.  I suspect a spur of the moment decision based on first impressions, time and season will guide my decision to spend more time in this country.
